Changing ooTunes Settings
- ooTunes Radio app. (ooTunes settings are within apple's Settings app).
- Apple's "Settings" app.
- Here's where you go to get updates or to redownload ooTunes (should you accidently delete it).
Set and Change ooTunes' Master Preferences
- Save your ooTunes username and password.
- Save your Twitter username and password (so you can tweet what you hear).
- Automatically log into your ooTunes Media Server when you run ooTunes.
- Resume playing what you were last listening to when you run the app and login.
- If you don't want to have to tap "Radio Only" to start listening to radio stations, set this to ON. (NOTE: this will override the autologin setting)
More ooTunes Settings
- Set or change the homepage for the built in webbrowser.
- Turn this off if you want to listen to higher bitrate streams while on the cell network.
- This setting only applies when using the ooTunes server, which will attempt to transcode any streams or songs to this bitrate when on Wifi.
- This setting only applies when using the ooTunes server, which will attempt to transcode any streams or songs to this bitrate when on EDGE or 3G connections.
- This setting disables the auto sleep/lock on your iPhone or iPod touch while ooTunes is running. This will increase power consumption, but will keep the network connection alive indefinately (whereas when the phone locks, the network connection is shut off after 30 minutes no matter what).
- Enable this if you want ooTunes to play a random station or track from the list you are currently viewing. Simply give your iPhone/iPod touch a good shaking.
- When logging into the ooTunes server, you can set an additional "secret" which further obfuscates the login credentials, and this secret can be changed as often as you like without changing your master password. However, you must also set this on the server as well.
Look for ooTunes within the iPhone/iPod Touch's Preferences App.
